Preparing for the end of the transition period between the United Kingdom (UK) and the European Union (EU).
United Kingdom National External Quality Assessment Service (UK NEQAS) would like to assure all of our participants that, as the end of the transition period approaches, we have plans and systems in place to ensure the continuity of the external quality assessment (EQA) services we provide.
In preparation for the end of the transition period, UK NEQAS is requesting that participants in the EU provide their Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) Number. All EU participants subscribed to UK NEQAS EQA services should have been contacted by their relevant UK NEQAS centre(s) (e.g. Leucocyte Immunophenotyping) and asked to provide an EORI number. Provision of an EORI number will ensure the rapid clearance of EQA service materials through EU customs. Where EQA services are facilitated by a distributor, the distributor will be responsible for customs formalities and will provide UK NEQAS with the relevant EORI details.
UK NEQAS would request that EU participants follow the instructions given by UK NEQAS centres on how to provide this information. If you have any questions or difficulties in completing a request for an EORI number, please contact the relevant UK NEQAS centre immediately.
