This Specialist Demonstration of Amyloid, Fibrin & Carbohydrates Webinar provides an in depth knowledge of extracellular proteins fibrin and amyloid along with the application and principles of carbohydrate and mucin classification/demonstration. Utilises presentations, hands on and discussion-based sessions. Be able to:

• Demonstrate fibrin and amyloid in tissue sections
• Understand principles and pitfalls of performing routine staining methods for fibrin and amyloid • Demonstrate carbohydrates in tissue sections
• Understand principles and pitfalls of performing routine staining methods for carbohydrate demonstration
• Understand the pathological significance of fibrin, amyloid and carbohydrate staining techniques
• Demonstrate and identify a range of carbohydrates in different tissue sections
• Understand the requirements for successful EQA of fibrin, amyloid and carbohydrate staining technique
