The External Quality Assessment Scheme for Cardiac Markers was founded in 1997 by Mr Alan Reid at Victoria Infirmary, Glasgow. In 2002 the Service became known as the UK National External Quality Assessment Service for Cardiac Markers. UK NEQAS CM is part of the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
