Priya has worked at UK NEQAS for Microbiology for over 20 years, starting out as a Biomedical Scientist in the virology laboratory. Over that time, she has seen the introduction of many new EQA schemes, in particular to Microbiology's responsiveness to public health incidents such as the recent COVID-19 pandemic. She is also responsible for looking at the operational elements of the department, which involves working across the scientific; operations; marketing; business and finance teams.
